Does Advent First Aid Supply sell surgical supplies, physician office supplies, ambulance supplies or items for homebound/geriatric patients?
- - - -
At this time we do not. Our business is strictly selling first aid and safety products that are appropriate for the workplace. In addition, we do not sell medical products that require advanced knowledge beyond the first responder level of training(syringes, catheters, speculums, etc.). If you are seeking the above items, we recommend that you refer to your local yellow pages dirctory under "medical supplies".
-
Why should my business have an outside vendor take care of our first aid and safety supply needs? - - - -
OSHA requires that all businesses have first aid and appropriate personal protection equipment available to their employees. Advent First Aid will make sure you have all necessary products to help prevent accidents or treat minor injuries. We can save your company money by freeing your employees from the trouble and expense of locating appropriate first aid and safety supplies. We can place your company on a regular service schedule or be available to you on a call-in basis.

Advent First Aid may be able to achieve savings for your company of up to 25%-40%.

How much is the charge for a service call? - - - -
There is never a fee for a service call and delivery of requested products is always free(local deliveries). Your company will be invoiced for items that are stocked and approved by your appointed contact. Services such as cleaning and refilling of eyewash stations do have a labor/product fee.
-
Our last first aid vendor stuffed our cabinets full of products that we did not need/want, should I expect the same from Advent First Aid? - - - -
Absolutely not! The key to our success is the long term happiness of our customers and that simply cannot be achieved when you feel cheated. We will work with your appointed contact to make sure that you receive the products you wish to make available in your workplace and items that are appropriate to your work enviroment. Every customer is unique and we will customize a program with which you are comfortable.
-
How do we switch from our current first aid vendor to Advent First Aid?- - - -
Give us a call at 713-681-1400 and we will assist you with a smooth transition. The vast majority of companies are NOT under contract to their current vendor. In addition, your vendor DOES NOT own (nor can they remove) the cabinets in which the product is stored on your property. Advent First Aid will not remove items that you have already purchased from another vendor assuming that they are not expired or otherwise unuseable.

If my company provides first aid/safety products, won't my employees just take them home? - - - -
We understand your concern regarding this matter. Our experience has shown that the theft rate of first aid/safety items is similar to that of your office products. Another way of looking at it is to ask what are the costs of not having appropriate items available. Lost productivity, increased workmans compensation claims, and possible fines by OSHA. Advent First Aid has developed strategies to reduce employee theft of your first aid/safety items, we would be happy to discuss them with you.

Why should my company provide pain relief tablets to our employees? - - - -
When your employees feel good they are more productive. Mild pain and stomach discomfort are problems that affect your employees daily, regardless of your work enviroment. Employees that are experiencing discomfort will either go home or remain at work in a less productive capacity. The pain relief tablets provided by Advent First Aid are all individually packaged doses with appropriate label information in both english and spanish.
-
How often will Advent First Aid come by my business if we choose to be on a regular service schedule? - - - -
As the customer, this is really your choice. Most of our customers prefer that we check their first aid/safety cabinets once per month. If your product usage is low, then we can schedule visits at your business every two, three, or six months. We will not provide service visits more frequently than once per month unless you request it. Advent First Aid recognizes that every business is unique and we will work with you to provide a service schedule that best suits your business. There is NEVER a charge for a service call!

Do you have small first aid kits available for small businesses or workplaces with just a couple of employees? - - - -
Yes we do! We now feature a new product called the Low Priced Economy Kit(LPEK) available in three different sizes. The LPEK is an ANSI Z308.1-2003 compliant plastic first aid kit that is perfect for small businesses and very affordable. The LPEK also makes an excellent vehicle kit for your employees that work away from the office. Some of our customers like to give out the LPEK to employees as rewards for achieving safety goals or to clients as a "safety theme" gift.
