Long arm of the law reaching beyond city limits

They are called Strategic Partnership Agreements, which are deals struck when a municipal utility district comes to the city asking for a split of the city sales tax. The catch is that the deal allows the city to enforce its regulations in those areas as well.

Purple Heart recipient wins battle with VA

Craig Busbee, who was wounded while serving in Iraq, had also injured his ankle and tore tendons during basic training in 2001. Even though the VA agreed to pay for the surgery to repair the damage, his disability claims were denied.

Sketch released of Pasadena home invasion murder suspect

The suspect is sought in the execution style murders of Leo Gomez and his wife Milagro Vanegas, who were tied up and shot in the head in the bedroom of their Pasadena home last week.
