Grand jury investigating League City council

The grand jury hearing evidence in the League City trash deal investigation will subpoena more witnesses from the city and garbage company AmeriWaste next week, District Attorney Kurt Sistrunk said.

Report: Emilio intoxicated when bus crashed

Toxicology tests released this week show that Emilio Navaira, who was behind the wheel of the bus when it crashed into traffic barrels on the West Loop, was intoxicated.

Woman trapped under Metro train

A Metro spokesman said the 30-year-old woman was on the platform of the HCC station at Main and Alabama when she stepped in front on an oncoming train.
